WINOM 100!
NWTRA Goal:
To build and maintain a network of mountain trails for OHV users in the Winom-Frazier OHV Complex that allows everyone to experience the adventures of an all day trail ride.
The Winom 100 2014 represents our goal every year. The WINOM 100 utilizes the Winom-Frazier OHV Complex over 240 miles of trails to create a 100 mile ride. Never a Race, the ride is geared for everyone to experience the trail
system we love. Each year a new route is created to allow for both Class I and Class III OHV’s to participate. The ride always includes a halfway point fuel stop and lunch.
On Fathers Day Weekend we have our WINOM 100. Starting and ending at Winom OHV Campground, this June date usually has excellent trail conditions and weather making this ride a fun a success. A Hot Meal is provided at the lunch stop, which has been remote, but for the last couple of years is at Winom ampground. The Class I 50″ or less OHV’s and Class III each have a route with limited overlap and we try for limited interference between the two types of OHV’s. Total mileage for the motorcycles (Class III) end up being around 105 to 108 miles, with neither loop exceeding 60miles. Each year we try to put some challenging sections and easy sections in each loop. Thanks to Roger Ables and his crew for the route selection, setup, and final sweeps of the route.
