The National Off-Highway Vehicle Conservation Council (NOHVCC) or the slang “Novac“, is a great resource and advocate of all things off highway.  Motorcycles, ATV’s, and UTV’s-CHECK, Jeeps, FJ’s, and all large off-highway use-CHECK, and yes even our Snowmobile friends.  Learn what they have to say about themselves here: ABOUT

One of the best things about NOHVCC is their Education and Materials sections.

EDUCATION: Here there is information on upcoming and past Workshops, Webinar’s, Video Podcasts, helpful information on Youth education and rider training, helmet safety programs, and even how to get a degree in OHV recreation management.  In 2017, NWTRA Members attended a seminar done in partnership with NOHVCC, Oregon Parks and Rec, and the Forest Service in LaGrande.  This was the Great Trails Workshop, which is based on the terrific Great Trails manual.

MATERIALS: Includes OHV planning guides, youth education guides, club startup kits, instructional trail mapping dvd (free), and past Newsletters which cover OHV issues and progress monthly.  Specifically the Newsletters include: Articles include fundraising ideas, USFS Travel Management updates, NOHVCC news, and trail maintenance cooperation.  It is free and you can sign up to receive it monthly, check it out.

The NOHVCC Website itself is amazing as you drill down and surf through all of the content available.
